BFW15 – thankful for all of our volunteers and sponsors

Happy New Year! On behalf of the BookFest Windsor planning committee, I’d like to offer a huge thanks to our volunteers, supporters and authors who helped to bring a successful 14th year of BookFest Windsor literary enjoyment to this region Oct 15 – 18 and Nov. 18.
In the words of author Denise Roig, “a heartfelt thank you for giving us writers such a wonderful welcome…. Everything was just perfect, from the cheery volunteers to the venues to the wonderful dinners to the panels and workshops.”
We couldn’t do it without local support. It takes at least 20 volunteers planning throughout the year to produce one of the best literary festivals in Canada. Big thanks go to the staff of the Capitol Theatre for their support and to local businesses for making all feel welcome: Pause Café, Bistro at the River, Mazaar, Toasty’s, Squirrel Cage, and a huge thank you to Holiday Inn Downtown for welcoming our authors.
BookFest Windsor 2015 gratefully acknowledges the generous local support, including the City of Windsor’s Arts, Culture + Heritage Fund, Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts, Canadian Heritage, Windsor Volunteers for Literacy, Essex County Library, Greater Essex County District School Board, CBC Windsor, Biblioasis, ACFO-WECK, and TD Bank Group.
Stay tuned for news in 2016 – the 15th anniversary of BookFest Windsor!
Sincerely,
Sarah Jarvis,
Chair, BookFest Windsor Planning Committee
