See, Speak, Hear – The Downtown Cultural Hub celebrates Canada

On the evenings of October 2, 4 and 5, Windsor’s downtown Cultural Hub partners celebrate Canada’s 150th and Windsor’s 125th over three evenings of inter-disciplinary programs, performances and events. Revolving around the idea of “North,” the basis for actor Steve Martin’s recently acclaimed exhibition of Canadian painter Lawren Harris, the partners expand ideas of north while recognizing the important role culture plays in Windsor’s downtown life. Including noted Windsor lawyer and poet, Peter Hrastovec and WSO string musicians, the three-night program will explore the following themes: Monday October 2, Music of the North; Wednesday October 4, Glenn Gould, the Man and the Music; and Thursday October 6, Lawren Harris, Beyond the Painter. The Cultural Hub partners include the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, University of Windsor School of Creative Arts, Art Gallery of Windsor, Windsor International Film Festival, Bookfest Windsor, Windsor Classic Chorale, and 4th Wall Music.

All events start at 7 pm.
