Sara Elliott grew up in Windsor and completed a Bachelor of Science from the University of Windsor. She then migrated out West for a stint in Vancouver before returning to Ontario where she tackled another Bachelor’s degree, this time in Journalism, at Ryerson University in Toronto.
With a bit of wanderlust still left in her system Sara moved to Scotland for two years. After returning to her hometown in 2006, she immediately found a home at CBC Windsor. There, Sara reported and produced for radio as well as guest hosted on the morning and afternoon radio shows. Sara’s probably best known for her smile and laugh that she used as the television weather presenter, to help balance out any bad weather she was forecasting.
Sara recently joined the Public Affairs & Communications team at the University of Windsor. She’ll be promoting the compelling and innovative research going on at her alma mater.
In her free time Sara enjoys hanging out with her husband and wandering around Detroit.
